ENTRY 7: ME VS POWTOON
I had a rocky
beginning for my Powtoon. The story began with me trying to create Powtoon and
do my part. For the first half an hour, it was good. I managed to do almost
half of it until the WiFi starting to slow. Too slow up to a point where I
couldn’t even load the homepage. I asked my group mates if they encountered the
same problem as me, and most of them said they do. After that, I gave up trying
to load the page and went to sleep and just pray that all my work has been
auto-saved.
The next day, I logged in
to my account and thank the lords of auto-save, my project is still there!!!!!!
When we told Madam Azida
about our issues with the Powtoon, she told us that most probably it occurred because
we have to ensure it was auto-saved every time we made the changes. This is
because if we did not do it every now and then, the server might crash due to
it trying to save a lot of info at the same time resulting it to crash and the
webpage couldn’t be loaded.
On that day, we had a two
hour gap and we ended up going to the cyber café to finish our Powtoon because
we do not want the same problem to occur if we do it at home since none of our
house has a steady WiFi connection.
Next is recording our
voices for the video. As for me, I have trouble in my pacing. This is because I
am a natural fast talker. So I found it hard to slow down the speed of my
speech and I have to be conscious with my speed so that I will not speak too
fast in order for people to understand my part. I received comments from my
previous lecturers that I need to slow down with my speed because I’m talk fast
like the LRT! What I did to ensure I stick to the normal pace, I asked my
friend to be my “conductor”. She will give me signs when to slow or speed up my
speech (special thanks to Atul!!!! You rock!).
I think that’s about it for
this week~
PS: this is the link to the video. I hope you'll enjoy it \
